The incident unfolded around 8:38 p.m. near the intersection of 6600 South Redwood Road, according to Officer Aleya Mason from the West Jordan Police Department. Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving multiple reports of a serious collision involving two vehicles.
Victims and Emergency Response
Authorities confirmed that one vehicle carrying at least two occupants collided with another car in the southbound lanes of the busy corridor. The driver of the second vehicle sustained critical injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby medical facility by emergency medical services.
Despite life-saving efforts from medical personnel, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The second occupant’s condition has not been disclosed by officials at this time.
