A house in unincorporated west Weber County sustained significant damage after being fully engulfed in smoke and flames. The incident, which took place on Sunday evening, prompted a swift and coordinated response from multiple agencies to contain the fire and ensure no one was inside the residence.
The Incident
At approximately 6:08 p.m. on Sunday, Weber Fire District and other emergency agencies responded to reports of a residential structure fire near 900 S in unincorporated west Weber County. Upon arrival, crews found the house “fully involved with heavy smoke and flames,” according to a post shared on social media by the Weber Fire District.
Firefighting Efforts and Search
Firefighters launched an immediate attack on the blaze while also conducting a primary search of the residence to ensure that no one was trapped inside. After a thorough search, it was confirmed that the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The fire was eventually brought under control, but crews remained on scene to perform cleanup duties. Despite the extensive damage, there were no injuries reported.
Assistance from Multiple Agencies
Weber Fire District was joined by several agencies in the firefighting efforts, including Ogden City Fire, Roy City Fire, Riverdale City Fire, Hill Air Force Base Fire, and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office. The coordinated response from these agencies was essential in managing the situation and ensuring the safety of all involved.

Investigation Underway
Once the fire was under control and the scene was cleared, the investigation into the cause of the fire was handed over to the Weber State Fire Marshal’s Office.
