Utah social media star and reality-TV personality Whitney Leavitt is officially taking her talents to Broadway. Fresh off her high-visibility run on “Dancing with the Stars,” Leavitt announced she will make her professional theater debut as Roxie Hart in the long-running musical Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City.
Her Broadway engagement begins Feb. 2 and will continue through March 15, 2026, marking a major milestone in her rapid career rise.
From Viral Videos to the Broadway Stage
Leavitt revealed the news on social media Monday, saying she felt “grateful beyond words” for the opportunity. Though this will be her first professional theater credit, she is no stranger to performing. During her most recent season on Dancing with the Stars — where she partnered with former show champion Mark Ballas — Leavitt delivered a wide range of dance routines, including an Argentine tango set to “Cell Block Tango,” a signature number from Chicago.
While she and Ballas consistently earned high marks from the judging panel, they were eliminated in the semifinals due to audience voting results.

Navigating Fame, Scrutiny and Reality TV
Leavitt — a mother of three and creator with over 4 million social media followers — has faced intense public scrutiny, particularly during her time on Hulu’s reality series “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” According to reporting from USA Today, online criticism surged during her Dancing with the Stars run, which aired alongside the premiere of the show’s third season.
Speaking with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Leavitt said she didn’t expect to advance far on the competition series due to the way she is often portrayed in the media.
“I already knew the persona that I had… so I didn’t think people were going to really vote for me,” she said.

A New Era Begins Feb. 2
With rehearsals ahead and an iconic role on the horizon, Leavitt is preparing for the most significant artistic challenge of her career so far. Her run as Roxie Hart will place her at the center of one of Broadway’s most celebrated productions — a role that has launched or elevated the careers of performers for decades.
Leavitt’s engagement in Chicago will run Feb. 2 through March 15, 2026.
