$1.1 Million Raised in Jordan School District Alone
Within the Jordan School District, six high schools collectively raised an impressive $1.1 million. Much of this funding went to charities with deep emotional connections to students, families, and staff, making the fundraising efforts even more meaningful.
Honoring Indy Jones Through Indy’s Ohana
One of the most heartfelt causes supported was Indy’s Ohana, a nonprofit founded in memory of Indy Jones, a 5-year-old girl with Down syndrome who bravely battled cancer twice before passing away.
Indy’s parents, Brian and Terah Jones, were moved by the dedication shown by students. According to Terah, daily activities, events, and student involvement made the experience both inspiring and emotional.
At West Jordan High School, students revealed they had raised $184,000 in just three weeks for Indy’s Ohana. For the Jones family, this fundraising success represents far more than money—it symbolizes Indy’s lasting influence and the hope she continues to inspire.
Funds raised through Indy’s Ohana help families affected by pediatric cancer travel to Hawaii, offering hope, healing, and emotional renewal during incredibly difficult times.
Clearfield High School Supports Survivors Through Safe Harbor
Another powerful example of student generosity came from Clearfield High School, where students celebrated raising $103,000 for Safe Harbor Crisis Center.
Safe Harbor provides vital services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Executive Director Todd Hixson explained that these donations will finally allow the organization to complete a long-delayed project that lacked funding for years. The students’ contribution will directly improve safety and support services for vulnerable individuals.
Mountain Ridge High School Raises Funds for Burn Camp
Generosity extended further at Mountain Ridge High School, where students raised more than $116,000 in honor of Baylee Hoaldridge. A large portion of the funds will benefit families connected to the University of Utah Burn Camp, which supports children recovering from serious burn injuries.
