Utah’s most anticipated winter gear event is back. The Park City Ski Swap, hosted by Park City Ski & Snowboard, opens Nov. 7–9 at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse, offering thousands of discounted skis, snowboards, boots, apparel, and accessories just in time for the start of ski season.

For more than five decades, the swap has been a community tradition — giving families the chance to gear up affordably while supporting youth athletes in Park City’s competitive ski and snowboard programs.

Event Details

The three-day swap takes place at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse, 1388 Center Drive:

  • Friday, Nov. 7: 7 p.m. opening
  • Saturday, Nov. 8: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 9: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Timed entry tickets for Friday and full weekend details are available at https://parkcityskiswap.com.

Each year, the fieldhouse is transformed into a bustling marketplace, drawing thousands of skiers and riders searching for quality gear at reasonable prices.

Sell, Donate, or Trade Up Your Gear

Individuals looking to clear out old equipment can drop off gear Nov. 3–6 (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) at Cole Sport on Park Avenue or Utah Olympic Park.

Accepted items include:

  • Alpine skis
  • Snowboards
  • Boots
  • Nordic skis and poles
  • Clean, gently used winter outerwear

Not accepted:

  • Gear older than five years
  • Broken or heavily damaged equipment
  • Used gloves, helmets, goggles, hats, or face layers

Sellers set their own prices. Park City Ski & Snowboard retains 30% of sales to support training programs for more than 1,200 young athletes in the region. Sellers may also choose to donate 100% of proceeds to help fund scholarships and program expenses.

Deals From the Community and Local Shops

In addition to community consignments, vendors from across the Wasatch region will offer last-season gear at reduced prices. The swap does not sell current-season inventory, ensuring that local outdoor retailers remain supported rather than undercut.

Shoppers can expect savings on:

  • Skis and snowboards
  • Boots and bindings
  • Outerwear layers and insulated jackets

With a wide range of sizes and brands, the event is especially popular with families outfitting growing skiers.

A Long-Standing Community Tradition

The Park City Ski Swap began more than 50 years ago, originally organized by early leaders of what would become Park City Ski & Snowboard. Its mission has remained the same: make winter sports more affordable and accessible, while strengthening the local ski culture.

Today, the swap continues to help reduce the financial barriers of participating in snow sports — ensuring more young athletes get the chance to experience Utah’s mountains.
