NORTH SALT LAKE — A man is in custody following reports of shots fired at the Sun River Apartments near 1080 W. 3300 South on Saturday night. Law enforcement agencies, including South Salt Lake Police, responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area around 8:49 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers immediately set up a perimeter around the complex, and the suspect, a male reported to be shooting in the area, was apprehended “without incident.” Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation. Authorities have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
