Utah Mother Critically Injured in Florida Crash, Family Launches Fundraiser for Recovery

Logan Woman’s Family Seeks Help After Devastating Florida Crash

A Logan, Utah woman is fighting for her life after a devastating car accident in Okaloosa County, Florida. Her family is now seeking community support as she begins a long road to recovery.

A Routine Day Turns Tragic

According to her son, Brandon Kendrick, Tamra Kendrick was visiting relatives and running errands when her car was struck head-on. The violent impact propelled her vehicle nearly 75 feet across multiple lanes, leaving her critically injured.

“She suffered multiple fractures, a collapsed lung, and a brain bleed,” Brandon said. “It’s truly a miracle she survived.”

Quick Thinking Saved Her Life

Bystanders and first responders acted immediately, preventing a worse outcome. One heroic U.S. Air Force member — identified only as an Airman — used his belt as a tourniquet to stop Tamra’s bleeding. “He saved my mom’s life,” Brandon explained. “Civilians and Airmen worked together to help her until emergency crews arrived. That was the first miracle.”

Ongoing Medical Battle and Family Support

Tamra remains in the intensive care unit after undergoing several surgeries, including a leg amputation. Despite the severity of her injuries, her family says she remains determined and optimistic.

Her husband, who continues to work full-time in Utah, is now traveling back and forth to Florida to be by her side. To help cover mounting medical and travel expenses, Brandon has launched a GoFundMe campaign.

“We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who’s donated and prayed for her recovery,” he said. “Mom’s strength inspires us every day.”
