SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s premier homegrown music festival, Kilby Block Party, is officially returning in 2026, organizers announced Tuesday morning. The festival will run from May 15–17, 2026, marking its seventh year as one of the fastest-growing live music events in the western United States.
The announcement came via a short Instagram video from the festival’s official account, teasing another year of performances, art installations, and community celebration in downtown Salt Lake City. Fans can already sign up for ticket updates, lineup drops, and event news at laylo.com/kilbyblockparty.
From Local Venue Celebration to Major Music Festival
Kilby Block Party began as a small anniversary celebration for Kilby Court, Salt Lake City’s iconic all-ages venue known for launching Utah’s indie scene in the early 2000s. Over the years, the event has expanded into a full-scale, multi-day festival drawing fans from across the country — and beyond.
The 2025 edition featured major headliners such as New Order, Beach House, Weezer, and Justice, reflecting how the event has evolved from its humble DIY roots into a national destination for alternative and indie music lovers.
A Festival with Momentum
Though the 2025 festival spanned four days, organizers are returning to a three-day format for 2026. Each year, Kilby Block Party has expanded its artist roster, stage production, and community partnerships, while retaining its grassroots identity.
Since its founding, the event has not only highlighted international acts but also showcased local Utah artists, food vendors, and creators, strengthening its reputation as a festival deeply connected to the Beehive State’s creative culture.
Fans and festival-goers can expect ticket release announcements and the 2026 lineup reveal in the coming months, as anticipation builds for another weekend of live performances and downtown energy next spring.
