Authorities in North Salt Lake City are searching for a suspect accused of causing an estimated $20,000 in property damage at the Eaglewood Golf Course. Police have announced a $1,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Golf Course Vandalized Overnight
According to the North Salt Lake City Police Department, the vandalism occurred sometime between 7:00 p.m. on October 23 and 11:00 p.m. on October 25. Investigators believe the suspect rode an electric motorcycle or similar vehicle across the course, tearing up grass, sand, and turf in multiple areas.
Photos released by police show extensive damage to greens, tee boxes, and fairways, with deep tire tracks and shredded turf scattered across several holes.
Surveillance Footage Captures Possible Suspect
Police say a possible suspect was caught on surveillance video near the golf course during the time of the vandalism. The individual appears to be wearing red pants and a white jacket while riding an electric motorcycle-like vehicle in the area.
Officials have not confirmed whether the suspect acted alone or if others were involved.

In a public statement, North Salt Lake police urged community members to come forward with any information that might help identify the suspect.
“We are committed to holding the person responsible for this vandalism accountable,” said a department spokesperson. “Eaglewood Golf Course is a valued community asset, and this kind of senseless destruction impacts everyone who enjoys it.”

Damage Impact and Repairs
City officials estimate repair costs at around $20,000, including turf replacement, labor, and restoration of damaged fairways. The golf course remains open, but several areas are currently undergoing maintenance.
