City officials roll out “Royal Resident News” for all households
The city government of Roy has announced the launch of a new bi-monthly newsletter titled “Royal Resident News” to enhance communication with residents across all neighborhoods.
According to the official announcement, the newsletter will cover key topics such as city council decisions, updates on local initiatives, upcoming events, public safety tips, recreation programs, and municipal service information.
City officials emphasized that the newsletter is part of their broader goal to move toward a paperless distribution model by mid-2025, with the digital edition available through utility billing statements and an online portal.
Residents who opt in can receive the newsletter electronically via the city’s Xpress Bill Pay system, while printed versions will continue to accompany utility bills for households that prefer a physical copy.
Community leaders say the new communication tool is designed to strengthen neighborhood engagement, inform residents about parks, recreation, fire and EMS updates, and local governance, and ultimately contribute to a more connected Roy community.
Mayor and city council members encourage residents to subscribe, provide feedback, and take part in public meetings and recreation activities mentioned in the bi-monthly newsletter.
