A woman allegedly used roller skates to beat her ex-boyfriend’s female friend

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking another woman at a roller-skating rink in Arizona. The shocking incident, which police believe was an act of revenge, left the victim with serious injuries.

Alleged Assault at Skating Rink

On January 25, Justic Cofield was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, destruction of public property, and resisting arrest. The attack reportedly took place at a roller-skating rink and was aimed at a woman who is a friend of Cofield’s ex-boyfriend.

According to police reports, Cofield allegedly wanted to “send a message” to her ex by targeting his female friend. After the attack, she even posted about it on social media and sent a direct message to the victim, admitting to hitting her with a skate and continuing to beat her.

Attack Caught on Camera

Surveillance footage from the skating rink shows Cofield sneaking up on the victim while holding two roller skates. She allegedly struck the woman with one skate, knocking her to the ground, and then jumped on her. Despite others trying to intervene, Cofield reportedly continued the beating until a security guard broke up the fight.

Police say Cofield later bragged on social media that she was ready to take things further using a “pole,” which is slang for a gun.

Victim’s Injuries

The victim, whose identity has not been shared, suffered multiple injuries. According to reports:

  • She lost a molar crown and chipped a front tooth.
  • She had two black eyes, bruises on her face, and swelling.
  • She was later diagnosed with a concussion.
  • Photos of her injuries were shared with police as evidence.

Violent Outburst After Arrest

When police found Cofield, she reportedly denied being in the video footage and attempted to run away. After being arrested, she allegedly threw a chair at a door and kicked over a table while in custody. Officers say she also resisted being handcuffed.

Previous Criminal Record

Authorities revealed that Cofield had previous arrests for driving under the influence (DUI), violating a court order, and obstructing a court order. She is currently being held on a total bond of $151,000.
