Texas woman charged with murder after allegedly hitting her boyfriend with a hammer

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in the shocking death of her 64-year-old boyfriend in San Antonio, Texas. The woman, identified as Abigail Molina, now faces serious charges including murder, property theft, and tampering with evidence after her boyfriend, Gilbert Parker, was found brutally beaten in a toolshed behind a local church.

What Happened to Gilbert Parker

On January 18, Gilbert Parker was discovered in a toolshed near the Old Path Baptist Church, where he used to do maintenance work. He was found partially naked and covered in dried blood. Blood was also seen on his clothes and two recliners in the shed. Parker was barely able to speak and kept drifting in and out of consciousness when police tried to question him. He was taken to the hospital but sadly died two days later, on January 20.

Missing Belongings and Suspicious Behavior

According to police reports, Parker’s truck, mobile phone, and wallet were missing from the scene. He had been living in his truck and the shed. Investigators later found out that some church members had reportedly entered the shed after the incident and thrown away drug-related items and some of Parker’s personal belongings, possibly tampering with the crime scene.

Details from the Investigation

A close friend of Parker told police that he had recently been in a relationship with Abigail Molina. The friend described the relationship as troubled, saying Parker was becoming more possessive, while Molina seemed less involved.

An autopsy revealed that Parker suffered deep cuts and a fractured skull caused by a blunt object, possibly the claw end of a hammer. The injuries led to internal bleeding in his brain.

Molina’s Statements and Evidence

The day after Parker was found, Molina reportedly called the police and claimed she had nothing to hide. She told them she acted in self-defence during a fight with Parker.

Later, on February 2, a friend of Parker informed the police about an anonymous tip. The tip claimed the weapon used in the attack—a hammer with a missing claw—had been thrown into a drainage ditch. Investigators recovered the hammer near Molina’s home, and the claw marks matched the injuries on Parker’s head.

Shocking Confession to Ex-Boyfriend

Molina’s ex-boyfriend told the police she called him on January 15 and confessed, saying, “I f—ed up.” She reportedly said Parker had hit her, and in a blackout, she repeatedly struck him with a hammer while he cried and begged for help. The ex-boyfriend also claimed that Molina admitted to washing the blood off her clothes. He later broke up with her after she allegedly assaulted him as well.

Covering Her Tracks

According to reports, Molina tried to clean up after the incident. She took Parker’s truck to get washed and even tried to sand and repaint it herself. Eventually, she sold the vehicle to a cash-for-cars business in Houston for just $300.

During police questioning, Molina appeared nervous and avoided giving clear answers. She also refused to let officers check her mobile phone.

On February 5, Abigail Molina was officially charged and taken into custody at the Bexar County Jail, where she awaits legal proceedings.
