According to reports, the incident happened on January 18 near the 300 block of Southwest 8th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Authorities say a security camera recorded a boy running toward a duck along with another child. The boy then chased the duck, caught it, and stomped on it several times. Police say the duck later died from the injuries.
The case has been classified as animal cruelty, and officers are treating it seriously. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department has confirmed that the video evidence is now part of the investigation, and they are trying to identify the child involved.
