Ogden Police Add Free Narcan Vending Machine

Ogden Police Add Free Narcan Vending Machine

In a move aimed at reducing overdose deaths in Weber County, the Ogden Police Department has installed a new free and anonymous Narcan vending machine. The machine is now available to the public in the lobby of the Francom Public Safety Building, located at 2186 Lincoln Avenue.

A Simple Way to Save Lives

Narcan, also known as naloxone, is a fast-acting nasal spray that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It is safe, easy to use, and has become a critical tool in communities facing rising opioid-related emergencies.

The vending machine dispenses free kits that include:

  • A Narcan nasal spray
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Information about local treatment and support resources

Individuals do not need ID, money, or a prescription. Users simply enter access code 1234, which is also printed on the machine, and follow the prompts.

Anonymous Access With a Purpose

The machine requests a few anonymous questions. According to police, this information is used only to help track usage and restocking needs—no personal information is collected.

This is one of several Narcan vending machines now operating across Weber County as local leaders work to increase community access to life-saving tools.
