Search Intensifies for Missing Utah Teen Last Seen on Halloween Night

Authorities in Salt Lake City are urgently seeking the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Kyesha Miller, who vanished on Halloween night and has not been heard from in nearly two weeks.

Disappearance on Halloween Night

According to investigators, Kyesha was last seen around 8 p.m. on October 31 at West High School. Reports suggest that she may have later been spotted near Franklin Elementary School, roughly two miles away. Between those two locations sits the Clark Planetarium, a familiar city landmark that police believe could be key to tracking her movements that night.

Miller was reportedly trick-or-treating at the time of her disappearance. She was wearing black clothing — a shirt, pants, and jacket — and was carrying a black-and-white checkered blanket, according to the Utah Missing Persons database.

No Contact with Family

Since that evening, there has been no communication between Kyesha and her family. Loved ones say the silence is deeply out of character, sparking growing concern for her safety. Multiple state and local organizations have circulated her photo and description online, hoping that someone recognizes her.

Community Urged to Help

The Salt Lake City Police Department is leading the investigation. Officers are asking anyone with information — no matter how minor it may seem — to contact them immediately at 801-799-3000.

Community members have joined efforts to distribute flyers, share social media posts, and search nearby parks, bus stops, and neighborhoods. “Every hour matters,” officials said, urging residents to stay alert and report any possible sightings.

This is an active investigation, and authorities continue to follow up on all leads.
