Spring It On!

Councilmember Joe K. Paul

Spring finally arrived after being stuck in a never-ending winter. It has been very wet the last few months and while it was much needed with the drought, we still need to do our part as residents to be Waterwise for our future.

Spring sports are in full swing. I am grateful the athletes at the high school, Jr. highs, and Roy Recreation were finally able to hit the fields and track. It is great to see our youth outside recreating.

On behalf of the city, I would like to congratulate all the 2023 Roy High Graduates! Great Job. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Thank you to Public Works for their efforts with the semi-annual dumpsters. Remember, there are dumpsters year-round at Public Works for glass and metal recycling. Also, there are still free dump passes available for Roy residents. Check out the Community Service portion on our website at royutah.org/community_service/index.php, and sign up if you need help cleaning up your yard and are not able to. Residents may also sign up to volunteer if they would like.

Roy City has multiple job openings. Look and see if you are interested, it is a great place to work.

Thank you to all who get involved in making our city a better place. Together we can make a difference.
