Roy Communities that Care Coalition

Our Roy Communities that Care Coalition is always working to learn more about how to support our youth and the CTC vision of preventing underage drinking, vaping, and other substance misuse.

This past June, coalition member, Jordan Schmidt, had the opportunity to learn more about prevention work through networking, policy training, and the Strategic Prevention Framework at the annual Utah Coalition Summit hosted in Bryce Canyon. Jordan enjoyed the great company and beautiful historical trails. When asked, “What is something you learned and will take back to share with your coalition that will help support prevention efforts in Roy?” Schmidt answered by saying the following:

“My biggest take away from attending the summit was learning about all the incredible resources that are available to help our community address the issues facing our youth. We hope to be able to bring back some new ideas to engage our youth and make a positive impact within our community.”

Our coalition is growing, and we are excited to have the support of our community. If you or anyone you know are interested in getting involved in the Roy Communities That Care Coalition, please reach out to coordinator Shardae Jones at 801-648-0115.
