Thank you to everyone that attended Family Dinner Night hosted by the Roy Communities that Care Coalition.
Food trucks provided by the coalition were able to provide 750 community members with a free meal to enjoy with their family.
Did you know that youth who eat a meal with their family three or more times per week are less likely to engage in risky behaviors such as underage drinking and substance use, have better emotional and mental health, perform better academically, and have better relationships with their parents?
This event is put on annually to promote family bonding as a way to combat substance misuse. The coalition organizes this event in partnership with Roy City, Weber Morgan Health Department, Weber Human Services, and other community-based organizations, hoping families will begin to plan at least three meals a week with their children and use meal time to have fun family conversation, encourage, listen, and laugh together.

Thank you, Coka-Cola, for donating beverages for this event. We appreciate your support!
The Roy CTC would like to thank everyone that participated in making this event a success.
