Drinking water is one of our most precious resources, and Roy City Water is committed to providing the very best water possible to our customers. Your compliance with both the Roy City water rules and regulations as well as state and local plumbing codes helps to protect our drinking water from possible contamination or pollution through cross connections. A cross connection is an actual or potential connection between the culinary water and a customer’s plumbing system that makes it possible for livestock water, secondary water, pollutants, or contaminants to enter the public drinking water supply through backflow. The possibility of this can be prevented by avoiding some of the following:
DON’T:
• Submerge hoses in buckets, pools, tubs, sinks, ponds, etc.
• Use spray attachments without a backflow prevention device
• Use a hose to unplug blocked toilets, sewers, etc.
We want to keep our drinking water safe and healthy. For additional information, please contact Roy City Public Works at 801-774-1090.
