This isn’t what we had planned. Traditions have been thrown out the window. Expectations have been suppressed. Feelings of disappointment are rampant.
In a time when we should be cheering you on at your sporting events, applauding you during your musical performances, anticipating the next twist in your theatre production, or creating those senior moments you’ve watched others create, we are keeping our distance to stay safe and healthy. During this time, our cheers for each of you are louder, and our clapping is more energetic; our hearts go out to each of you as we stand by your side, commending you for your hard work to reach this point. Take a moment to reflect on the past 12 years; it’s been full of laughs, tears, achievements, and life lessons, which no virus can take from you. Celebrate your success and achievement! Congratulations! We are proud of the determination and hard work you have all expected of yourself to get to this point. Even though this isn’t how it was supposed to be, we commend you on your resilience and adaptability to making YOUR year a mark in history and paving the path for those who will follow. Franklin D. Roosevelt gave the following words of encouragement:
“Yours is not the task of making your way in the world, but the task of remaking the world which you will find before you.”
Each of you created the confident and capable atmosphere at Roy High this year, and we thank you! We challenge each of you to continue on this path of making the world yours, by unleashing your ROAR. “Choose to Roar” as you continue on your journey! We will always be cheering you on! Once a Royal, ALWAYS a Royal! Thank you, Class of 2020!
We Love You,
Roy High Administration
